Karina is Zimbabwe's sole manufacturer of knitting yarn and is Southern Africa's largest manufacturer of carpets north of the Limpopo.

It was established in 1959 under the name of Ferguson Shiers manufacturing carpeting in a factory set at the foothills of Nyakamete Mountains in Mutare, 270kms east of the capital Harare.

In 1969 it expanded into knitting yarn manufacture; a market which has grown into a developing home industry.
Karina prides itself with high quality and strong brand loyalty when selling both locally and regionally.

Karina achieved ISO 9002-94 certification in 1999.
